This tutorial shows you how to change Windows Vista Start Up menu look like Windows XP. Follow the steps as shown below: 
 
1) Right click on toolbar at bottom of your screen and select "Properties" from the menu as shown in Figure 1.

2) When "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" dialogue box appears click "Start Menu" tab as shown in Figure 2.

3) In "Start Menu" tab select "Classic Start menu" radio button and "Apply" and then click "Ok" as shown in Figure 3.
