This short step by step tutorial shows you how to remove "Recent Documents" list from office button. Follow the steps as shown below:
1) For some reason you may not want your boss to see the recent documents that you have browsed and you are eager to know how to remove the list of
documents that you recently viewed from "Recent Documents" as shown in Figure 1.

2) Click "Word Options" from Office button menu as shown in Figure 2.

3) When "Word Options" window opens click "Advanced" as shown in
Figure 3.
4) In "Advanced Options for working with Word" scroll down and enter a value of 0 in
"Show this number of Recent Documents" in "Display" as shown in figure 4
.
